Eduard Kettner over-under hammer combination gun chambered for the 11.5 x 65R rifle cartridge and 16 gauge x 2 5/8" shotgun round. This is perhaps the best combination gun I have ever owned, both in terms of quality and in terms of finish. It is a top break gun with dolls head extension. The shot barrel is a beautifully patterned Damascus steel and the rifle barrel is fluid steel. The barrels are 27 1/2" long. Neither are Nitro proofed. There is double relief game scene engraving present with one scene on each side of the receiver and another scene on each lock. On the left side Roe deer grace the receiver and foxes are on the lock. On the right side, stag are on the receiver and boar are engraved on the lock. The butt plate is fully engraved in a floral pattern and contains a cartridge trap that holds one shot shell and two rifle shells. There is a tang sight which opens from front to back. The trigger guard is steel and is also engraved with an Auerhahn featured. There is no pistol grip cap, being a semi-pistol grip style. The stocks are an extremely high grade of walnut with much figure. The gun is in superb condition throughout and is all completely original. This gun would be the centerpiece for any combination gun collection. With dies and one box new brass. Featured in September, 2004 The Accurate Rifle. *WITH RESERVE*
